We stopped by Konak Turkish Kitchen after seeing a film at the Dendy — it’s just a short stroll down King Street. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, especially in the covered rear section, which was comfortable and not too crowded. It’s BYO with a reasonable corkage charge, which is always appreciated. The food was excellent. We started with a range of dips that were quite different from the more common Greek ones — fresh, tasty, and full of flavour. For mains, we tried a mix of kebabs and pides. The pides were outstanding — freshly baked, with the spinach and feta one being particularly good, and the meat one equally delicious. The grilled meats were tender and perfectly cooked, not dry like at some other places. Overall, it was a great experience — delicious food, relaxed setting, and good value. We’ll definitely be coming back to Konak.

If you're tired of mediocre daily food. Konak is the best place to experience refreshing new dishes. Do yourself a big favor and try their magical dishes. No lie... its just WOW. Chef Ali takes no shortcuts in preparing these wonderful dishes.

Don’t let the outside fool you there is plenty of seating in the courtyard and upstairs. The balloon bread (exactly the way it sounds) is something different to try. And very Instagramable The pide is big and flavoursome. Better than other places My favourite is the halloumi, with the apricot composte, the flavours mix well together. This is a must try. My missus loved the ali nazik kebab with smashed eggplant on it!

Always great food, fresh colourful and full of flavour. Friendly service and very relaxed authentic vibe. One of our family favourites. We like to order several dishes and share because we want to taste it all.

The food was great portions, beautiful for sharing with friends and family. I hope to be back soon. I think with a drink each and plenty of food we spent about $40 pp which was very fair for the quality of food. The fresh bread and dips was our favourite but all the kebabs were fantastic as well.

I came here with a friend recently for dinner. We had waited about 50 minutes for our meal and got very hungry, which was disappointing. Our food was great, and we can’t fault it. Lovely flavours, good quality, traditional style Turkish food. The staff were pleasant, but perhaps there weren’t enough to cater for the guests that night. It won’t stop me from returning, but it did let the venue down that night.
